As you know we have been working hard this year putting together our new Guided Walking Tours which offer our guests the opportunity to enjoy a 2 night, 3 day walking package with all accommodation, transport and meals included. We recently hosted the lovely girls from Gold Coast Magazine who along with Editor Logan Smith, enjoyed the warm country-style hospitality on offer at gurragawee. We had a wonderful couple of days with the girls, visiting the beautiful Nightcap National Park where we took them on a guided tour of the Whian Whian and Minyon Falls walks. The girls were also treated to the stunning views that feature from the Goonengerry escarpment and then we caught some coastal breezes and a spot of whale watching along the beautiful beach walk from Lennox Head through to Ballina.
We’re excited to announce that their story has been featured in the most recent issue of their magazine, and wanted to share with you a few lovely excerpts from it:
“The secret to the greatness of these GreatWalks@gurragawee, is that they cater to you personally. Breakfast and Dinner are homemade by Kate herself, who prepares the most incredible mouth-watering country style dishes. Each dish manages to be both comfortingly home-style yet exotically delicious. With choices like succulent marinated lamb shanks and vegtables fresh from the garden, dinner at gurragawee is something you’ll very much look forward to.
As the days finish after an invigorating day of trails, you can watch the sun set across the green fields, laugh with your friends, fall asleep to the quiet of the countryside and when you leave you’ll feel both wistful and excited to return.” Logan Smith, Editor Gold Coast Magazine
