Local couple Emily and John recently held their wedding here at gurragawee on an absolutely stunning Spring day in late September. The bride was delivered to her ceremony on the back of a wee blue truck, and the proud groom awaited his beautiful bride in his dashing kilt. Surrounded by family and friends, the couple exchanged their vows under the poinciana tree, before enjoying bubbles and canapés on the lawn. The feasting continued into the evening with guests being treated to a Moroccan Tagine bar, followed by a towering croquembouche and cheeses for dessert.
The mother of the bride, Judy and her friends brought their floral skills to the day, and provided many of the blooms from their own gardens. We wanted to share with you some lovely words that Judy had to say of her daughter’s wedding day:
“May I take this opportunity though to thank you for the use of your beautiful property. Having a great house and beautiful gardens provided the perfect backdrop for Emily and John’s wedding. The weather was so perfect and the different locations that people could move to provided a delightful and varied occasion. I had lots of fun with the flowers as you observed. My friend and I share this passion equally as we do food. So all in all a lot of fun and thankyou for your creativity in producing such a great venue” Judy Berry
